The area at a glance

A lake gathering starts with the right address

Lake of the Ozarks brings together distinct communities around a wide stretch of shoreline. Camdenton, Osage Beach, Lake Ozark and Sunrise Beach are useful starting points, while nearby towns and lake properties each have their own access and layout. A lake view tells only part of the planning story.

The region’s visitor bureau highlights meetings, reunions and wedding gatherings alongside its lake attractions. For your event, use that destination setting as the backdrop and choose the golf activity around your group. Send the actual property address and proposed play area so travel, setup and the package can be reviewed.

Camdenton & the south lake

Camdenton · Linn Creek

Describe the property where the gathering will happen, including the drive, unloading point and land-based area intended for the simulator.

Osage Beach & the north lake

Osage Beach · Lake Ozark · Four Seasons · Eldon

For a meeting or celebration at a booked property, include the specific room or event area and any access requirements supplied by the venue.

Sunrise Beach & the west side

Sunrise Beach · Laurie · Versailles · Gravois Mills

Provide the street address and community name. A lake mile marker, shoreline location or property nickname alone cannot establish the travel route.

Company retreats

Give the team one shared activity

Fit a short challenge between the working sessions and the rest of the trip. Decide whether the goal is team competition or informal conversation, then identify the people likely to play. Include the meeting agenda so the golf window can be reviewed without assuming an all-day rental.

Lakehouse groups & reunions

Keep the gathering at your chosen property

For a family reunion or friends’ celebration, describe a setup area where the group can gather safely. Think through seating, food, arrivals and the mix of players and spectators. Request a casual rotation or a simple contest suited to the time you want to spend together.

Wedding-weekend celebrations

Choose one moment in the weekend

A welcome gathering or other wedding-weekend event may offer a distinct time for golf. Share the specific date and location for that activity, separate from the wider itinerary. The property’s permission, space and event schedule need review before a setup can be confirmed.

Before you book the space

Look beyond the lake view

Lakeside properties vary. Photos of the proposed area, a complete address and a short description of access are more useful than the destination name alone.

Open the venue checklist
  1. 01
    Identify a suitable land-based area

Show the surface, dimensions, overhead clearance and nearby activity. Include slopes, railings, pools or other features that affect the layout. A dock or deck should never be assumed suitable.

  2. 02
Explain the approach to the property

Describe gates, steep sections, parking and the path between unloading and the event space. Give the exact address even when everyone in your group knows the property by a lake name.

  3. 03
Separate the trip from the play window

List the activity date, requested start and end, and the proposed weather alternative. For a resort or rental property, share the host’s or venue’s requirements for outside event equipment.

Lake of the Ozarks planning questions

A few details before we tee off.

Can I request an event in any of the named lake communities?

Yes. Use the town list to find your area, then send the exact venue address and event details for review. The list is a geographic guide and does not confirm a particular property’s setup suitability.

Is a lake mile marker enough for the quote?

Please include a street address and community name. A mile marker may help identify the general setting, but equipment access and the travel route depend on the property’s land-based location.

How does travel work for Lake of the Ozarks?

Thirty minutes of travel is included; anything farther requires a custom travel quote. Share the venue address with the date and event window so the quote can reflect your actual destination.

Your place. Your people.
