Focused team competition
A defined group follows one shared competition from opening through recognition.
Infinite Golf field guide
A focused team competition or a featured activation within a larger company gathering can be built around Closest to the Pin, Long Drive, team contribution, presentation, and recognition. The final structure stays flexible and is confirmed with Infinite Golf.
Foundation
4+live hours
Four live hours is the minimum live rental foundation. Setup and teardown are scheduled separately and do not consume the live rental block.
Additional live hours can expand participation, team waves, gameplay variety, course play, the opening, the final, recognition, or coordination with the broader event.
These are example configurations, not fixed event packages. Contests, course play, team structures, finals, and presentation features can be combined around the real event.
Event shape
Start with the role the simulator should play, then combine routes around the broader company event.
A defined group follows one shared competition from opening through recognition.
Open qualifying or assigned representatives operate within a broader company gathering.
Groups receive defined windows across a longer event while standings or shared progress build.
A smaller, golf-focused group uses collaborative formats over selected virtual holes.
These routes can be combined. Total event attendance and expected simulator participation remain separate planning inputs, and a large gathering can be built around open participation, waves, representatives, or a featured activation.
Gameplay
Contest play and course play are two distinct lanes. Team roles can then distribute participation across the group.
Contest play
Use individual qualifying results, fixed-count team results, assigned representatives, or open qualifying followed by a closing final.
Use the same attempt count and valid drive rules for every participant. Long Drive may recognize an individual, count a fixed number of team results, use representatives, or lead into a final.
Contest play may also contribute to a shared company or department goal when the host-managed scoring and presentation are confirmed.
Accuracy or control challenges and a Pressure Shot representative final may be added only when the selected target, settings, and current simulator configuration are supported and confirmed.
Course play
Course-play options, scoring modes, and settings are confirmed during planning based on the current simulator configuration and event schedule.
Team contribution
One person can represent the team in Long Drive, another can participate in Closest to the Pin, another can contribute to a supported and confirmed accuracy or control challenge, and a representative can compete in the final. Every person does not have to complete every contest.
Guided blueprint
The run of show can be shaped around four narrative phases without assigning rigid percentages to them.
Welcome, teams, safety, orientation, and beginner support.
Contest qualifying, scheduled waves, open activation, or course play.
Representatives, a supported Pressure Shot, final standings, or a course finish.
Results, awards, a company moment, spectator display, or confirmed media.
Additional live hours
Additional live hours may support more participant turns or waves, another core contest, more virtual holes, a longer team launch, a less-rushed final, social or meal coordination, and a more substantial recognition or media moment. More time is not a fixed participant multiplier.
Complete illustrative configuration
Illustrative configuration, not a fixed package, capacity promise, or required itinerary.
Each employee is assigned to either Closest to the Pin or Long Drive, so one person does not have to complete every contest. Ten teams assign three people to Closest to the Pin and two to Long Drive; the other ten assign two to Closest to the Pin and three to Long Drive. This creates exactly 50 qualifying turns in each contest.
Each contest uses the same host-managed descending placement scale. First valid result receives 50 points, second receives 49, continuing through one point for 50th. A participant without a valid registered result receives zero. Each team's five qualifying point results are summed. Raw Closest to the Pin and Long Drive distances are never added together.
Closest to the Pin compares the best valid proximity, then the second valid proximity, then a pre-event random draw seed. Long Drive compares the best valid drive, then the second valid drive, then a pre-event random draw seed using the same published approach.
Equal team totals are ordered by comparing each team's five qualifying point results from highest to lowest, then by the pre-event team seed. The same sequence resolves a tie at the fourth-team cutoff.
The four-person final awards 20, 12, 8, and 4 bonus points from first through fourth, added to the qualifying totals. Final order uses each representative's better valid result, then the second result, then qualifying rank. No extra tie-breaker turn is added.
| Time | Phase | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| 0:00-0:20 | Welcome and orientation | Explain teams, contest assignments, scoring, safety, and beginner support. |
| 0:20-2:00 | Closest to the Pin qualifying | Complete 50 scheduled two-swing qualifying turns and record the host-managed placement points. |
| 2:00-3:40 | Long Drive qualifying | Complete 50 scheduled two-swing qualifying turns using consistent attempt and valid-drive rules. |
| 3:40-4:25 | Qualification buffer and standings lock | Reserve time to complete any of the 100 scheduled qualifying turns, verify points, and announce the top four teams. No additional contest turns are added. |
| 4:25-4:45 | Closest to the Pin final | Four team representatives complete one two-swing final turn each and receive the defined bonus points. |
| 4:45-5:00 | Results and recognition | Reveal standings, recognize teams, and capture the closing moment. |
This illustration contains 100 unique qualifying participants and 104 scheduled participant turns because the four finalists participate twice. It does not guarantee completion. Another 100-person event may use representatives, scheduled waves, or open participation. Exact attempts, staffing, timing, scoring, settings, and display features are confirmed around the actual event.
This example uses one active hitting position with an operator and a flow host supporting staging, host-managed standings, and presentation. Final staffing is confirmed for the real event.
When included in scope, the presentation layer may use a local spectator view, host-managed standings, the four-person final, and team recognition.
Experience
Participation, local presentation, media, standings, and recognition become separate choices in the confirmed event scope.
Participation
Team decisions, assigned representatives, beginner support, and optional hitting let people contribute without requiring every guest to complete every contest.
Local spectator view
When it is included in the confirmed event configuration, an Insta360 X5 view may appear on a local on-site spectator display. Local on-site display is the default delivery mode for this feature. It is not automatically an internet livestream and is not included in every package or event.
Recorded and external delivery
Recorded media is separately scoped. With sufficient lead time, delivery to a confirmed external live-video endpoint may be separately planned and remains conditional on agreed sources, destination, access method, connectivity, compatibility, permissions, rehearsal, staffing, and fallback. Private credentials use an appropriate private channel. Uninterrupted transmission is not guaranteed.
Standings and presentation
Host-managed standings, an external event display, and approved company or sponsor presentation may be included when confirmed. Automated score aggregation, synchronization, remote publishing, and a custom leaderboard are not standard included features.
Permissions and recognition
Camera participation is optional. Public naming may remain optional. The organizer confirms approvals and opt-out communication. Organizer-provided awards may support the recognition moment; merchandise is considered only when separately quoted and confirmed with sufficient lead time.
Confirm
The preferred event shape becomes real after the organizer and Infinite Golf confirm the operating details together.
Only one participant hits at a time. The guest path, queue space, operator position, flow support, and any external display are confirmed around the actual venue and event rhythm.
Use the venue checklist for the physical setup and the capacity guide for turn-window planning.
Plan from the real event
Share the event context, participation goal, live hours, gameplay interests, venue, presentation, and recognition priorities. Infinite Golf will help confirm the arrangement.
Planning questions
Start with the event context, expected simulator participation, live hours, and guest mix. Infinite Golf and the organizer can combine contests, course play, qualifying, representatives, team waves, a final, and presentation around the real gathering.
Yes. Total attendance and expected simulator participation are separate planning inputs. A larger gathering may use open qualifying, assigned representatives, scheduled waves, or a featured activation without treating the simulator as the only activity in the room.
The rental begins with a minimum block of four live event hours. Setup and teardown are scheduled separately. Additional live hours can reshape participation, gameplay, the opening, the final, recognition, or coordination with the broader event.
Yes. Scramble, alternate shot or foursome, greensome, and best ball may suit a smaller golf-focused group. Exact course, scoring mode, settings, support, and schedule are confirmed during planning.
Long Drive can use individual qualifying results, a fixed count of team results, assigned representatives, or open qualifying followed by a final. Every participant uses the same attempt count and valid-drive rules confirmed for the event.
Yes. Short orientation, clear attempt rules, assigned team roles, representatives, visible progress, and optional hitting can make the event approachable without requiring every guest to complete every contest.
When included in the confirmed event configuration, the Insta360 X5 may support a local on-site spectator view outside the active hitting area. Local display is the default delivery mode for this feature. It is not automatically an internet livestream or a feature included in every event.
Recorded media is separately scoped. External live-video delivery requires sufficient lead time and a confirmed plan for sources, destination, access, connectivity, compatibility, permissions, rehearsal, staffing, and fallback. Private credentials use an appropriate private channel. Uninterrupted transmission is not guaranteed.
Standings are host-managed. An external event display and approved company or sponsor presentation may be included when confirmed. Automated aggregation, synchronization, and remote publishing are not standard included features.
Current package and option information is maintained on the packages page. Package selection is confirmed after the event shape, staffing, presentation, and media needs are clear.
Methodology and planning boundaries
The event shapes, gameplay formats, five-hour illustration, and media options on this page are planning guidance. Final participation, attempts, staffing, timing, scoring, settings, venue layout, display, media, merchandise, and recognition are confirmed around the actual event.
Scramble, alternate shot/foursome, greensome, and best ball are established golf formats. Exact course-play support depends on the current simulator configuration. This article makes no measurable workplace-performance or organizational-outcome claim.
